I don't mean to bombard you with the same old denim-for-summer nonsense tirelessly translated by rotating zines on the newsstands each year around this time, but it hurts me to say that there is some truth to the cliché. Either that or some heavy pictorial power on photo blogs is having a significant amount of influence on my sartorial thinking for the serious bouts of heat Mother Nature is beginning to deal. What can I say, the heart wants what the heart wants. And the heart wants some hardcore navy power in all its fabricated forms. Denim, chambray, corduroy...textiles galore. Pause for personal processing.

I've dabbled in naval experimentation when it comes to spring/summer dress, as evidenced by last year's sporadic sailor trips courtesy of one standout breton sweater (I'll leave you to scour through the trenches of my archives for it). BUT, I'm feeling some novelty for 2012. Shame on you if you haven't already discovered my bordering phobia of being bold in everyday wear, but I'll alleviate you of some guilt by saying that I am, as my previous post proves, taking strides into new ways. So, peep the above photo for momentary inspiration, and wait for further briefing and interpretation on my behalf. The result is bound to be good as long as the mercury count doesn't broil me into cinders first...
