Playing the part of a wandering tourist in Austin should be a foreign undertaking for me considering I've been practically hibernating here for a year, but somehow memorial day weekend drew out the aimless explorer in me. Perhaps that's duly the reason why I spent an entire afternoon perched on a bridge overpass overlooking downtown and miscellaneous kayakers fumbling around senselessly with their oars on the lake. Free entertainment. I guess it's also a bit senseless of me to sport somewhat clichéd nautical wear on the eve of summer but breton stripes are a go-to when in the mood to serve as a walking advertisement of the dawning heat stroke. All in good fun.
(bdg sweater, zara shoes)
Perching gave ample time to think about other things than just frivolous boaters, amongst them an article I read recently on Business of Fashion. BOF is prime mark for thought provocation, case in point the concept of fashion in film (commercial, not cinematic), which I'll share with personal note attached soon after I discover an appropriate alternative to this breton sweater I've worn the threads off of. Off I go.
