Fortune fortunately reared its head a few days ago when London opted to be the arbiter of good news in form of spring menswear. Moods can only spearhead my dressing routine for so long before the crabbiness from the heat onslaught kicks in. Collections are much more of a safe zone at this time. The former can take a backseat for now, which is in no way (or at least purposely) a play on words for the sportiness in
J.W. Anderson's Spring 2012 presentation, where harnessed backpacks and other crafty confections literally brought the meaning of utilitarianism up a fair notch. Anderson's bold move in yesterday's collection may earn him tokens of admiration, but the power of the sheer lace dress is something I'll leave Marc Jacobs to harness. Retelling the British designer's feats from last season fits more of my bill.
I'll be the first to bitterly admit that I somewhat lack the sportive gene in my sartorial DNA, but I am in the midst of making minor alterations. Geez. Fashion can be fickle. In fact, as I publish this lament, I'm confirming the purchase of my first-ever cap in hopes of placing that one toe inside the forbidden pool of literal sportswear. Well, forbidden to me. My head isn't configured for hats, in my opinion, but I'm making the attempt with the hope of avail! Harnesses can come much later...Gulp.

I don't think I could handle a harness either :S the only person who I can think of that can is Taylor Tomasi Hill. so don't feel bad! Stick to your amazing, simple, and undone style. It's exquisite
